A transcript of Virginia Giuffre being questioned over the whereabouts of a photograph showing her with Prince Andrew has been released as part of the documents unsealed by a US court.
Ms Giuffre says she was recruited by Jeffrey Epstein’s former lover Ghislaine Maxwell to be a masseuse for the disgraced financier, and was subsequently abused by him.
She was one of the first alleged victims to speak out publicly and was pictured in a now famous photo with Prince Andrew in London.
All the latest documents to be released today are part of her 2015 civil lawsuit.
One of them shows she was asked where the picture was during her 2016 deposition.
“I probably still have it. It’s not in my possession right now,” she said, adding it may have been in storage boxes at her mother and fathers-in-law in Sydney.
She also said documents related to her case may have also been in the storage boxes, which were “full of Nerf guns, my kids’ toys, photos”.
During the deposition, Ms Giuffre said she had given the picture to the FBI in 2011 but had last seen it before she packed up her home to immigrate to Australia from Colorado.
Stephen Hawking mentioned by Epstein in email
Jeffery Epstein mentioned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking in a “reward” email to Ghislaine Maxwell.
He said false allegations had been made, including one he described as “the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy”.
Mr Hawking was photographed on Epstein’s island in March 2006, as part of a trip to a science conference on neighbouring island St Thomas.
The conference was paid for by Epstein and 20 other scientists attended.
