Yemen’s Houthis say they launched ballistic missiles towards the Israeli port city of Eilat.
The Israeli military earlier said its aerial defence system successfully intercepted a surface-to-surface missile fired at Israeli territory in the area of the Red Sea.
The Houthis have fired several ballistic missiles and drones at Eilat since 7 October.
It has blamed Israel for instability in the Middle East, saying the “circle of conflict” in the region was driven by its “continued crimes”.
The Houthis are part of an Iran-aligned regional alliance, which also includes Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
They govern swathes of Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, more than a thousand miles from Israel.
