Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed he requires surgery on a shoulder injury that will keep him out for up to a year.
The Denmark international, 39, admitted to CBS Sports Golazo that he may have played his last game of football.
Schmeichel will undergo surgery next Friday before starting his rehabilitation. His contract at Celtic expires in the summer.
Schmeichel injured his shoulder in Celtic’s 4-1 home Europa League defeat to Stuttgart. He played with an injection just a few days later against Hibernian – but has been sidelined since.
