- Donald Trump stopped his remarks mid-sentence on Aug. 25 to call one of his apparent staffers out in the Oval Office
- Trump kicked the person out after their phone made noise while the president was speaking to the press

Donald Trump seemingly had a tense encounter with a White House staffer inside the Oval Office on Monday, Aug. 25.
While delivering remarks at an executive order signing ceremony, Trump, 79, reportedly kicked one of his own people out of the room for causing a distraction.
The moment happened as Trump answered a question from a reporter about his decision to purchase a portion of Intel for the U.S. government. Halfway through his sentence, the president stopped to scold the disrupter.
“As you know the stock market went up almost a thousand points on Friday and it went up not because of…” Trump said, before stopping.
“Hello, who is that?” he asked, as noise from a phone could be heard. “Who is that back there? Alright, get out of the room.”
A few people in the room responded with laughter while the president kept a straight face, and a door then loudly closed.
Daily Mail claims the person who was dismissed was White House staff secretary Will Scharf, who helps to handle Trump’s executive orders, though it’s unclear from footage of the ceremony.
Also on Monday, Daily Beast reported that Trump appeared to be covering a bruise on his hand as he was signing executive orders, which is not the first time that eagle-eyed viewers have noticed patches on his hand, often covered with makeup.
In July, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters in a statement that his bruising was “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”
