In his pre-match press conference Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso spoke about Quique Setien, his opposite number on Tuesday night.

“I respect Setien a lot, he did a great job at Betis and now at Barcelona, I admire his work,” said Gattuso.

“WIth Setien I’m seeing a Barca that in the last two years I haven’t seen. They have a lot of strength to get the ball back with a high press. They’ve impressed me how they attack the space, they’ve got a lot better in the last four or five games. They’re a team of Martians and we need to have the game of our life.”

It’s Gattuso and Setien’s debuts in the Champions League.

“I don’t know if it’s the worst debut possible, we’re facing a very good team,” Gattuso continued. “They have a great side, reborn with Setien. We want to have a good match and it will be complicated.”

On Messi he added: “It’s not just Messi but he’s very good, an example for everyone. He’s incredible and has been through his career, he seems like a PlayStation player.”
