Further to reports we have been bringing you today on the US veto of a UN Security Council resolution, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for the United Nations Security Council to be reformed.
Mr Erdogan decried the fact that the US could veto a ceasefire proposal for Gaza despite huge support from other countries.
He said in a human rights conference in Istanbul: “The United Nations Security Council demand for ceasefire is rejected only by US veto. Is this justice?
“The UN Security Council needs to be reformed.”
