Emotional Celine Dion Deserves The ICON AWARD.

Organizers of this year’s Billboard Music Awards used the opportunity to give famous music icon, Celine Dion, a memorable party. It was, indeed, a wonderful night in a wonderful world for the iconic singer who’s retiring from music.

René-Charles Angelil was given the chance to honor his mom by presenting the Icon Award to his understandably emotional hero.

The young man was cool, calm and collected through out the event. His presentation of the award was a secret that came with an expected surprise to the ‘Titanic’ theme song singer.

48-year-old Celine Dion delivered a lively performance of Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” but couldn’t help shedding tears afterwards. Her handsome boy then walked onto the stage and presented her with an award. Wonderful!

Charles and Celine hugged before the singer proceeded with her acceptance speech.

“I’m sorry for crying,” Celine said to her son, holding his hand as tears streamed down her face.

“I want to be so strong for my family and my kids, and I didn’t expect that.

“You make me so happy. Thank you!

“Rene, this one’s for you,” she added. “The show must go on!”

For the first time, Rene-Charles and Celine made their televised appearance since her legendary husband and talent manager Rene Angelil died in January.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will definitely remain a memorable night for Celine Dion‘s son Charles, thanks to Rihanna who nearly got him starstruck as both posed for a photo backstage.

The 15-year-old shared a sweet photo of himself and the Barbadian beauty on Instagram on Sunday, May 22. “What a night!” he captioned the adorable pic.
