Drake was furious over a reported robbery on his tour bus. Thieves who targeted the rappers–Drake and DJ Future the Rapper, broke through a tight security and made away with the valuables.
Drake, the “Hotline Bling” rapper and Future are in the middle of their “Summer Sixteen” concert tour.
The criminals took a briefcase that contained millions of dollars in jewelry.
After the robbery, Phoenix police revealed $3 million worth of jewelry was taken from the tour bus belonging to the rappers.
Police Sgt. Vince Lewis followed up with a statement that says the theft occurred Tuesday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix, where the men were performing.
While police said in a statement that one suspect entered the bus between 10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and removed the briefcase containing jewelry, Lewis says the authorities “do not disclose the identities of burglary victims” but confirmed the jewelry did not belong to Drake.
A thorough investigation from CCTV cameras was carried out for a possible identification of the culprits, and BINGO, the culprit has been arrested.
According to Billboard, Travion King, 21, was booked into Maricopa County Jail on a burglary charge. Police say they identified King as the suspect through surveillance footage at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix. They then learned that he was already in jail after being arrested for trespassing Wednesday morning by campus police at Arizona State University in nearby Tempe.
Police say Travion broke into Drake’s tour bus and stole the briefcase within a 15-minute window.
