The famous soul singer Diana Ross was involved in a car crash as she was going for her ‘In The Name of Love’ show on Wednesday.
A 2009 Acura SUV crushed a stop sign and rammed into the Lincoln limousine conveying her to the venue in Pennsylvania.
Except Diana, no other passenger in the limo or SUV was hurt. She suffered injuries on the neck and head but was treated by paramedics who quickly responded to emergency calls.
The 72-year-old singer received first-aid treatment but insisted she was alright to continue with her show. She suggested taking further treatment at a convenient time.
She performed later at the Sands Casino Complex in Bethlehem as scheduled.
The former member of The Supremes connected with her fans through social media in preparation for the show scheduled the following day: “I was involved in a car accident yesterday. I’m going to be a little sore, but it was mostly shocking. I have a very tiny sore bump on my forehead at my hairline. I ask you not to worry. I will see you tonight at the show in Providence.
The 22-year-old female driver of the SUV from New Jersey was booked for traffic violation.
