Roberto De Zerbi has said he wants to stay at Tottenham “for a long time” in his first recorded message to the fans.
The Italian has signed a five-year contract which does not include a relegation exit clause.
Spurs sit one point and one place above the relegation zone with seven games to go after sacking three managers in the last year.
De Zerbi appeared keen to buck that trend in his first address to the Spurs supporters.
“I am very happy to [be] here with you,” the former Brighton boss said. “It is a very big honour to be here and I’m very proud to be your coach.
“I want to give my best. I want to stay for a long time in this big club. See you soon.”
