Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister slams critics after brother’s resurgence

Real Madrid’s 7-1 win against Deportivo La Coruna was their best performance since last month’s 5-0 thrashing of Sevilla at home, and Los Blancos appear to have found their rhythm since winning the Club World Cup despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s insignificant contributions.

However, the Portugal international footballer scored a brace alongside Nacho and Bale to fire Madrid back to their winning ways and looks revived for better performances.

Those two goals from CR7 were needed for the player’s confidence for the fact that he hasn’t been performing up to his usual high goal-scoring standards in La Liga games this season. And his sister has something to say about this sudden change.

After Sunday’s win against Coruna which, hopefully, brought an end to the team’s poor run, the internet was flooded with pictures of Ronaldo’s checking out his bloodied face with a mirror on the pitch after a kick to the head left him with a cut.

Katia Aveiro, who has been her brother’s die-hard supporter and defender, especially when he’s under fire from the media, says haters should bury their faces in shame.

“Many people in this world say words like ‘goodbye’, they want to see you down on the ground,” she shared on social media.

“But what makes you a CHAMPION. A VICTORY [sic] is the amount of body blows you receive.

“Yet you still continue standing.”
