Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored his first goal of the 2019/20 campaign for Juventus, after netting for the Bianconeri in their 3-2 defeat to Tottenham in Singapore on Sunday.
Despite being substituted by Maurizio Sarri in the 62th minute, Ronaldo once again finds himself among the favorites for the Ballon d’Or, FIFA’s The Best award and UEFA’s European Player of the Year award.
He was instrumental as Juventus won Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana, while he also played a starring role in Portugal’s successful UEFA Nations League campaign.
Ronaldo ended the season on 28 goals and 10 assists for Juventus and was named the best player in Serie A.
In the Champions League, Ronaldo won his 100th game and scored his 125th goal.
He also netted three times for Portugal, with all three coming against Switzerland in the semi-finals of the Nations League in Porto.
All these figures and performances mean that Ronaldo is a contender to the sixth Ballon d’Or, the third The Best award and the fifth UEFA Player of the Year award of his career.
