MEZIESBLOG understands Levi Colwill is not currently in talks over an improved contract at Chelsea, contrary to reports.
However, discussions could resume in the summer.
Recent reports have claimed conversations were taking place but Sky Sports News has been told there have been none since last summer.
Those initial discussions were held before he suffered an ACL injury last pre-season.
Colwill returned to action earlier this month and has started Chelsea’s last two games, including Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat to Man City.Colwill’s current deal is up in 2030, inclusive of a club option year, and Chelsea are saving new contract talks with players until after the end of the season.
Colwill’s focus is trying to make Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad. He was included in the provisional 55-man England squad and Tuchel will announce his final 26 on Friday.
