Southwestern College (SWC), a private graduate institution in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is seeking a Chief Academic Officer (CAO). The role reports directly to the President and serves on the Executive Council as the College’s senior academic leader. • Provide strategic leadership for academic affairs, student affairs, accreditation, assessment, faculty development, and academic planning
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners
• Advance academic quality, innovation, and program development
• Strengthen student success, retention, and engagement
• Lead accreditation, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
• Expand partnerships supporting workforce, community, and behavioral health needs

Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree
• Progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education
• Background in academic administration, faculty leadership, accreditation, assessment, and strategic planning
• Exceptional communication skills and commitment to shared governance
• Appreciation for and desire to live the College’s mission and values
