In the latest issue of GQ Magazine, the Mad Max star actress Charliez Theron, 40, looked amazing in a black dress as she takes control of the women’s world.

She has spoken against societal attitudes to women and ageing. In her interview with GQ, she pointed out that the common perception is that “women wilt and men age like fine wine”.

“It would be a lie to say there is less worry for women as they get older than there is for men,” she added. “It feels there’s this unrealistic standard of what a woman is supposed to look like when she’s over 40”.

The charming actress told GQ: “We live in a society where women wilt and men age like fine wine. For a long time, women accepted it. But now we’re taking leadership.”

It will never be forgotten that the South African actor actively campaigned for women in the movie industry to receive the same wages as men. The campain started with the revelation that came after the 2014 Sony hacks which leaked emails that exposed the large gap in Hollywood’s salaries between men and women.

On the challenges she has faced as a model in the movie industry, she said: “Jobs with real gravitas go to people that are physically right for them and that’s the end of the story.”

“How many roles are out there for the gorgeous, f***ing, gown-wearing eight-foot model?”

In 2004 Charlize Theron won an Oscar for playing a serial killer in the movie Monster, thirteen years ago. The same year, she won the Golden Globe Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – (Drama) for the same movie Monster.
She won a Golden Globe for her performance in Young Adult, in which she plays an author of books for teenagers who sets off to spoil the relationship of an ex-boyfriend so that she can have him for herself.
