“My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd and her many friends,” Ford wrote after describing her as “one-of-a-kind who lived her life bravely.

“We will all miss her,” he added.

Carrie died shortly after completing her roles as “Princess Leia” in the movie which comes as a follow up to her earlier gig in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).

Rian Johnson [the movie director] confirmed through Star Wars Twitter account in July saying that productions for the most anticipated film had ended.

He wrote: “Final slate of the final shot. VIII is officially wrapped. Cannot wait to share it with you all! -@rianjohnson.”
