Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VIII, will be remembered by friends and well wishers as an author, actress and novelist, but her legacy in the iconic series will live forever.

Harrison Ford, a former flame and Carrie’s co-star in the famous franchise, has sent an emotional tribute to a beloved friend. He starred alongside the late actress as Han Solo.
Carrie revealed recently that she had a three-month romance with Ford, who was married and had two kids at that time. She kept the affair a secret for forty years.
The alleged affair dates back to 1976. Ford was 33 years old and Carrie was 19 at that time.
“My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd and her many friends,” Ford wrote after describing her as “one-of-a-kind who lived her life bravely.
“We will all miss her,” he added.
Carrie died shortly after completing her roles as “Princess Leia” in the movie which comes as a follow up to her earlier gig in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).
Rian Johnson [the movie director] confirmed through Star Wars Twitter account in July saying that productions for the most anticipated film had ended.

Carrie made headlines after revealing in her recent book that she had ” a steamy affair with Ford” during productions for the Star Wars movie.
According to a report from PEOPLE Magazine: “It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”
Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill admitted he was ‘devastated’ after the news of her death surfaced in the media. He posted “No Words” on Twitter to mourn a dear friend.
Another actor Billy Dee Williams posted: “I’m deeply saddened at the news of Carrie’s passing.
“She was a dear friend, whom I greatly respected and admired.
“The force is dark today!”

Notable among the celebrities who took to Twitter for tributes to Carrie Fisher was Whoopi Goldberg. She wrote: “Carrie Fisher has passed, she was funnier & smarter than anyone had the right to be. Sail On Silver Girl. Condolences Debbie & Billie R.I.P.”
Mia Farrow added another tribute to the fallen star: “Carrie was brilliant, funny and talented. Sending huge love be to her mom, her daughter, Billie and her many friends.”
