Brunei’s Tourism Development Department continues to enhance the capabilities of local tour guides in line with the Brunei Tourism Industry Roadmap, aiming to develop a more professional and competent workforce within the tourism sector.
A total of 17 local tour guides received certificates on Monday after completing a basic training course designed to improve their skills and service quality.
The program focuses on equipping participants with the competencies to meet established industry standards and deliver better experiences to visitors.
The department said over the past decade, approximately 250 tour guides have registered with the Tourism Development Department and completed the basic course. This reflects ongoing efforts to build a strong foundation of qualified personnel in the tourism industry.
