Brentford’s Laidlaw makes Falkirk move

Ethan Laidlaw has joined Falkirk from Brentford, signing a two-year deal with the option of a further year.

The 21-year-old forward came through the Hibernian youth ranks before joining Brentford’s academy. He was named their U21s Players’ Player of the Year for the 2025/26 campaign after contributing 15 goals and 10 assists for the B-team.

Laidlaw said: “I’m really delighted to sign for Falkirk. It’s a club I’ve admired a lot over the past couple of years, particularly the manager and the way he wants the team to play.

“Everything happened really quickly once I heard about the interest, and I just felt it was a really good place to come and play my football. As a young Scottish player, it feels like the perfect club to continue my career and development, so I’m over the moon to get the deal done.”
