Former US president Bill Clinton has joined his wife Hillary in showing support for Joe Biden after he stumbled in last night’s head-to-head with Donald Trump.
Mr Clinton said he would “leave the debate rating to the pundits”, but said “facts and history matter” when it comes to who to vote for.
He praised Mr Biden for “three years of solid leadership” and for pulling the US “out of the quagmire that Donald Trump left us in”.
“That’s what’s really at stake in November,” he wrote.
