Aston Villa are exploring a deal for Gremio forward Alysson, according to The Athletic.
It is claimed Villa are expected to make an offer for the 19-year-old, with the right-winger fitting the profile of the attacker the club want.
Unai Emery’s side have reportedly already registered a strong interest in Alysson, who scored once and provided two assists in the Brazilian top flight this season.
The report also says that, as well as potentially signing a winger in January, Villa are keen to recruit a centre-forward to provide depth behind Ollie Watkins.
Villa’s reported winter window plans come with the club just three points off Premier League leaders Arsenal after they defeated the Gunners 2-1 at home on Saturday.
Villa also sit third in the Europa League table and are on course to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
