Arsenal are investigating a summer deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to The Independent.
It is claimed that the Georgia international’s camp are open to the idea, but PSG see him as ‘a jewel of their current project’.
The report says the Gunners could pay ‘special attention’ to their attack this summer, and Kvaratskhelia is seen as a player ‘who could offer more individual creativity, while potentially elevating the level of the squad overall’.
But any deal for the 25-year-old is reportedly viewed as extremely complicated, with the report claiming ‘sources within PSG see him as a near-unsellable star’.
Kvaratskhelia, who scored three times in PSG’s Champions League last-16 thumping of Chelsea, joined the French champions from Napoli for £59.5m (€70m).
