Barry Jenner [the Star Trek and Dallas actor] has died.

According to reports from News Magazine, Barry lost the fight against acute myeloid leukemia on Tuesday 9 August at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.
The 75-year-old actor will be remembered for the roles he played in “Star Trek: Deep Space 9” as Admiral William Ross and Dr. Jerry Kenderson, who romanced Linda Gray’s character Sue Ellen Ewing in Dallas.
Jenner also appeared in “Another World”, “Knots Landing”, and “Something So Right”.
After news of his death surfaced online, the official Star Trek Facebook page paid tribute to their former shipmate, writing:
“We’re saddened to report the passing of Barry Jenner, who played Admiral William Ross in ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.’
“The actor, who was 75 years old, also provided the voice of the character in the video game Star Trek: Deep Space Nine — Dominion Wars, and was a popular figure on the convention circuit,” the statement said.
Jenner’s Deep Space Nine colleague Armin Shimerman, who played the Ferengi bar owner Quark for the show’s entire run, expressed his shock and sadness on Twitter.

Jenner is survived by his wife, Suzanne Hunt, and stepsons Ashley and Christian.
The actor served as a Los Angeles Police Department reserve officer for 21 years.
