Why Angelina Jolie isn’t getting over Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie is reportedly having second thoughts on her divorce proceedings from famous husband Brad Pitt. The Hollywood actress is said to be slowing down a bit for a probable reunion as she’s yet to call off the divorce.

According to a report from TMZ, Pitt had one month – from Sept. 19 – to file divorce papers which would have drawn the battle lines after Jolie asked for divorce. But the actor remained calm because he doesn’t want to cause psychological damage to their kids.

The actress requested for sole custody of their children, asking the court to grant Pitt only visitation rights.

If the actor had filed for joint/legal custody as he wants, the couple would be dancing to a different tune right now. His thoughtfulness left their marriage open to a peaceful and private settlement, giving an “erratic” Jolie a chance to ponder on her actions.

According to a new report from Hollywood Life, 41-year-old Jolie is “already missing Pitt” and wants to slow down the divorce process.

A source told the publication that even before filing for legal separation from her estranged husband, the actress knew life would be very hard without him.

The kids are always talking about Pitt, 52, making it impossible for Jolie to have second thoughts on whether she’s on the right course with their pending divorce.

“The kids can’t stop talking about him and asking questions, which is bugging Angie but also making her miss Brad. Angelina may even be having second thoughts about leaving Brad,” the source claims.

“Angelina didn’t realize how much she would miss him but now that Brad is out of her daily life, she misses his sense of humor and seeing him everyday.”

“She is a long way from calling off the divorce, but is no longer in a rush to get everything finalized,” the tipster added.

Another source exclusively told the publication that “the ice between he and Angie is starting to thaw,” and “there does seem to be a glimmer of hope”.

On September 19, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after the actor allegedly attacked his 15-year-old son, Maddox, on board a private jet.

Both Jolie and Pitt have other children together – Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10), and 8-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne.

Reports confirm Pitt is still under investigation from the Department of Child Services. He’s facing child abuse charges but may have a stronger argument against Jolie’s custody claims, if the agency clears him of the offence.

According to USA Today, divorce lawyer Nancy Chemtob, founding partner at Chemtob Moss & Forman, who has represented high-profile clients including Star Jones and Tory Burch, said last weekend: “If they haven’t reached a new agreement by Thursday, or negotiated an extension of their current arrangement, ‘it’s free game’.

“There are two ways of deciding this — through a custody agreement and through an order of court. If neither of these exist, then it means Brad can, within reason, do what he wants,” she says. “He could pick the kids up, take them for dinner, or to his house and there would be no violation.”
