Afghan children receiving UN-backed continued educational support

Millions of children in Afghanistan are benefiting from continued education support, with about 4 million of them having received essential learning materials, said the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan, the local media Tolo news reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, a total of 232 public schools have also been rehabilitated, providing safer and more conducive environments for students.

The progress comes amid ongoing challenges facing Afghanistan’s education sector, including resource shortages and infrastructure limitations.

Humanitarian agencies continue efforts to expand access to education in Afghanistan, particularly for children in vulnerable communities, the report added.
