At a private party in Stockholm the famous group ABBA had a reason to get together again as they celebrated 50 years of solid musical performances.
The Swedish group exclusively regrouped for the first time in 30 years.
On June 5, Agnetha Faltskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstand, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson performed at a private event in the Swedish capital.
The date marks the day Ulvaeus and Andersson, the band’s songwriters, met each other for the first time.
A Swedish newspaper confirmed the details of the VIP performance.
The source said the party included Faltskog and Lyngstad singing The Way Old Friends Do.
Ulvaeus and Andersson finished the song with them towards its conclusion, before all four embraced each other.
Andersson said the reunion was a great night, with Lyngstad adding how it was “absolutely amazing” and “very nostalgic”.
The last time the four pop icons were together was in January for the opening of an ABBA-themed restaurant in Stockholm, called Mamma Mia! The Party.
