Texas A&M University is offering a PhD graduate research assistantship in the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management.
The role involves implementing and assessing methods to enhance the survival of swift foxes in Texas.
Key tasks include GPS tagging of swift foxes and coyotes, collecting data for disease assessment, establishing a livestock guardian dog program, studying species movements in relation to dogs, and exploring human dimensions of swift fox conservation.
The project collaborates with various entities including Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas Tech University, and the US Forest Service.
Applicants need an M.S. in related fields, strong field skills, and experience with statistical software.
