Semi Ajayi expects the Super Eagles to be at their best when they face hosts, Cote d’Ivoire at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The three-time African kings will be up against the Elephants, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

Cote d’Ivoire are Nigeria’s biggest opposition in the group.

Ajayi stated that he and his teammates will be battle ready for the Ivorians.

“The bigger games bring out our best,” said West Bromwich Albion defender Ajayi.

“So, I am really excited we are drawn against the host nation, there will be more attention on us because of that.”

The Super Eagles will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium, Abidjan, on January 14, before they face the host country four days later.

Their final group game will be against now familiar foes Guinea Bissau on January 22.
