Messi And Dad In Court Today For Fraud.

Barcelona’s super star Lionel Messi and his father Jorge Messi are in court today. Both are facing allegations of evading more than €4m in taxes on image rights.

According to a report, Messi and his father used their alleged tax havens in Belize and Uruguay to conceal more than €10m earned between 2007 and 2009.

The Spanish state attorney has confirmed that the current World Best Player and his father shall face a minimum court sentence of 22 months in prison if found guilty. AS added in its report that it’ll probably be a light sentence because Messi has no past criminal record.

Lucky Leo might avoid the full sentence considering his family’s argument that the superstar had no prior knowledge of his tax affairs. The defense added that he had only acted on the advice of his father.

    It’s too bad that the rich makes money and stay away from tax while the poor are made to pay through their noses. The Spanish court will use Messi as an example. This shows how much Argentines are hated in Spain after Mascherano. Maybe they truly deserve to be hated. Do the players and country need the money more than Spain? I don’t know.

    Messi and dad won’t need to worry about the court. Money will solve the case and it’s as simple as that. They have much more to gain no matter what amount they are asked to pay back. Wise Argentines.

    Poor, Messi. The laws know he has the money and there’s no way the Argentine or those who keep his accounts balance won’t like to cheat. His father cheats on his behalf whether he admits knowing or not. It’s impossible for him not to know.
