It was fun to watch Portugal draw 3-3 with Hungary in a thrilling Group F match on Wednesday evening, but the best part of the games comes with Cristiano Ronaldo breaking records with Euro 2016.

Ronaldo’s two goals in the match crowned him as the first player ever to score in four different editions of the European Championship.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the chance to clinch the accolade, too, but the PSG legend failed to score in Sweden’s first two matches.

Ibra had motivations in the match against Belgium, fighting for his country’s pride as well as looking for a chance to grab the world record in his last international game.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 50th minute equalizer in Portugal’s final group stage encounter meant that he has scored in each of the four tournaments he has played in: 2004, 2008, 2012 and now 2016.

It was amazing how Portugal came from three goals down to equalize and salvage a point from Hungary.

Excited CR7 was proud of his team’s achievement after the match. He set up Nani’s initial first half equalizer before twice cancelling out Balazs Dzudzsak’s two goals after the break.

The wonderful performance from Ronaldo was convincing enough that UEFA had to consider honoring him with the Man of the Match Award.

Ronaldo said in a post-match interview: “We were behind on three occasions, but fought back each time.

“We have achieved our goal,” Ronaldo went on, “the team played a good game although it was a little crazy, and full of attacks, but on a personal level I’m happy.”

With Portugal settling for third place in Group F after a late victory for Iceland saw them top the group above Austria, A Seleccao will enter the round of 16 as one of the best third placed teams.

Portugal will now play Croatia in Lens on June 25.
