Three days after losing 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea bounced back with a brilliant performance against former 2018/19 league leaders, Manchester City, and Eden Hazard thinks this massive win restored hopes for the Blues’ campaign to win another English Premier League trophy.

Goals from N’golo Kante and David Luiz were all Chelsea needed to keep their spot among the Top 4.
The well-deserved 2-0 victory against Pep Guardiola‘s men were attributed to Maurizio Sarri‘s intelligence, particularly from his choice to infuse fluidity and control by introducing powerful subs, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, off the bench.
Notwithstanding the overall performance from Chelsea, star player Eden Hazard distinguished himself with awesome assists to Kante and Luiz, who scored his first goal in over a year.
Hazard has so far recorded a total of 8 assists. The Belgium international footballer, however, noted that their win against City provided the needed relief, especially after the team suffered brutal blows from Wolverhampton on 5 December, 2018.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Hazard said: ‘It feels really good, especially after the game in midweek when we lost against Wolverhampton.’
The famous No. 10 continued, ‘It was a hard game, especially in the first half, but in the second half we controlled the game and we scored two goals. At the end I think we deserved to win and we need to go on.
‘When you lose you always need to show something because we are Chelsea.
‘When we lose – for the fans, for the board, for everyone – we just want to win again. Of course, the feeling is even better when you play against what I think is the best team in the country and you win. We can enjoy this.’
