Why Malia Obama was at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival

The 2017 Sundance Film Festival attracted celebrities and dignitaries from all walks of life since it kicked off on 19 January.

With six days gone from the scheduled events at some selected U.S. locations: Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, Sundance, and Utah, party/movie lovers still have until 29 January to go catch some fun.

Guess what! Malia Obama was there, too.

The 18-year-old daughter of ex U.S. President Barack Obama was accepted for internship with Harvey Weinstein shortly after Donald Trump’s inauguration, but her appearance at Sundance wasn’t part of the job, reports confirm.

Page Six says Obama’s first daughter will take up the job for a short time before her lessons start at Havard later in the year.

Malia was at Sundance for “Beach Rats” screening.

The thriller was described by IMDB as a movie about “an aimless teenager on the outer edges of Brooklyn who struggled to escape his bleak home life and navigate questions of self-identity, as he balances his time between his delinquent friends, a potential new girlfriend, and older men he meets online.”

The movie is simply about a depressed Brooklyn teen named Harris Dickinson, who cruises for gay hookups at the beach while dating a young woman.

Malia Obama girl has worked on the HBO show “Girls” and the CBS show “Extant,” reports confirm.

  1. The Obama girls are free like the air right now. They don’t have to worry about embarrassing America anymore. God a thing they’re getting themselves useful.
