West Ham’s Coach Slaven Bilic Sad Over Leicester’s Star, Kante N’golo

These days, football management and winning trophies is not just about politics, it includes having a high level business acumen and a special managerial vision. Surely, there will be mistakes and regrets, that’s what makes it a beautiful game.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic recently  admitted that he trailed N’golo Kante for some time but lost the player to Leicester City due to indecision.

The Hammers manager revealed that he could have signed him for the club but Leicester City took the bold step before he could summon courage.

Since Kante debuted for Leicester City, the young star has been a revelation for the Foxes this season. The midfielder has added strength and fluidity to the team’s tactics.

Reports say Kante’s tireless performances and box-to-box running is a key reason why Claudio Ranieri’s men may win the Premier League title.

For his wonderful performances, Kante has been included into the France national team ahead of Euro 2016.

Kante N’golo is also on the shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Slaven Bilic has revealed that he watched the talented midfielder while he was playing his trade at Caen but regret never following it up with a deal.

The Croatian manager talked about the 25-year-old youngster:

“We were quite close. I watched him in France, in Nice.

“He was a good player, the same player he is now with Leicester.

“A holding midfielder, not very tall, but he’s one of those players that you think after 20 minutes that there are twins, that there are two of them because the energy, the cleverness he plays with. He’s always there.

“When you watch a game on television there are players that are always on telly. They are never out of the picture, whatever you see, you see them, he’s one of them.

“That’s not only an ability involving big lungs or legs or whatever, it’s in the head.

“So, he was there but then we got some players before in the same positions and it would simply have been too many players for the same position.”
