President of the United States of America Donald Trump arrived in Singapore to meet with the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un, the Associated Press reported.

Air Force One, which carried Trump, landed at Paya Lebar Air Base after a nearly 20-hour flight from Canada, where he attended the Group of Seven summit.

Kim Jong-un landed a few hours earlier, his motorcade arrived at the Hotel Saint Regis.

The meeting of the American president and leader of the DPRK is scheduled for June 12 at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island in Singapore. The main attention will be devoted to the issue of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

In connection with the historic summit in Singapore, security measures were strengthened.

Trump told reporters Saturday that the upcoming summit will be a “one-time shot” to do something good for North Koreans, adding that he will probably know “within the first minute” whether the North’s leader is serious about the negotiations.

Kim Jong-Un, the leader of North Korea, took off from Pyongyang to Singapore on Boeing-747 to take part in the summit with Donald Trump, the U.S. President, on June 12, Yonhap News reports. The flight is his longest overseas trip since taking office in late 2011.

“The takeoff by an Air China airplane was detected at the airport in Pyongyang at 8:30 a.m.,” according to Flightradar24.

The website said earlier the same plane had landed in the North’s capital at 7:20 a.m., after leaving Beijing Capital International Airport at 4:18 a.m.

Boeing-747, which flew to North Korea, is a private jet of the Chinese Government to carry its high-level officials.

“The website did not specify the destination of the plane. Many government chartered planes are known to keep their routes discreet due to security issues,” the news agency reports.
