The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office published on its website that Woods was booked into a county jail around 7 a.m.

According to the Associated Press, jail records show Woods had been arrested by police in Jupiter. He was released just before 11 a.m. on his own recognizance after receiving charges for Driving Under the Influence statue.

No other details were immediately available.

Jupiter police spokesperson Kristin Rightler said she didn’t know where Woods was either coming from or going to.

Rightler, however, added that a detailed report on his arrest will be released this Tuesday.

TMZ writes that Woods was driving a 2015 Mercedes Benz car when the incident occurred. The police called in a tow yard to remove the vehicle but cancelled the call after someone close to the golfer arrived.

The 14-time major champion and winner of 79 PGA Tour titles has battled with bad luck since 2014. He had a fusion surgery on 19 April this year — the fourth procedure since he suffered health emergency in April 2014.

Woods dropped from the Dubai Desert Classic on Feb. 3, and has made only three worldwide starts in the past two years.

“As for returning to competitive golf, the long-term prognosis is positive,” he assured fans of his love for the sport, adding that he’s far from calling it quits.

“My surgeon and physiotherapist say the operation was successful. It’s just a matter of not screwing up and letting it fuse,” Woods wrote in the statement, according to USA Today.

“I’m walking and doing my exercises, and taking my kids to and from school. All I can do is take it day by day. There’s no hurry.

“But, I want to say unequivocally, I want to play professional golf again. Presently, I’m not looking ahead. I can’t twist for another two-and-a-half to three months.

“Right now, my sole focus is rehab and doing what the doctors tell me. I am concentrating on short-term goals.”

Tiger hit a tree while allegedly driving under the influence of Ambien after a fight with his then-wife Elin Nordegren in 2009. He did not face DUI charges at the time.
