Selena Gomez hates talking about Religion and Faith in God

Selena Gomez recently explained the inspiration behind her lyrics in Bad Liar, denying any link to her Canadian boyfriend The Weeknd, and now she has revealed another truth about her faith in God.

The 24-year-old says religion as a word ‘freaks her out.’

Her confession doesn’t mean she hasn’t found peace with God. Nay. Her life as a celebrity — the skimpy wears, nip slips, and broken relationships — has nothing to do with her recent confession.

Selena just doesn’t like anyone asking her about religion.

The beautiful singer/actress was recently on the Zach Sang Show where she said, “It’s hard because I don’t know if it’s necessarily that I believe in religion as much as I believe in faith and a relationship with God.

“I’ve never been the person that’s like, ‘this is what it should be,'” the former Disney star explained in that interview which was released on Tuesday.

“I’ve just experienced things in my life where there are holes in things that nothing else can fill and I know that if I didn’t have the faith that I had it wouldn’t have gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life.

“… That word freaks me out sometimes, you know,” she added.

Talking about paparazzi trailing her every move, the attention and expectations from fans who see her as an idol, and the image she portrays with her love for dazzling outfits, Selena said she has bigger issues to worry about than those.

“I think it’s hilarious and I think it’s also really awkward,” said the Spring Breakers actress.

“I think it’s just one of those things where I get it, but I also feel weird complaining about it because it’s such a…

“I don’t know… they [paparazzi] can do so much more in the world right now and that’s the last thing people should be worrying about but, it’s alright, it is what it is, I guess.”

She admitted knowing that fame comes with a price, but says none of everything she has acquired so far was anticipated.

“It’s life… It happens… I never expected any of it and I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it,” she confessed.
