Selena Gomez is reportedly enjoying a better life after completing her mental health treatment program, reports confirm.

The Texas-born star has had several health issues, particularly in 2017 when she had a kidney transplant after suffering complications from lupus, an autoimmune disease that she was diagnosed with in 2013.

In October 2016, Selena was forced to cancel 34 dates of her Revival Tour to focus on her sanity. She checked into at that time.

In her insistent effort to achieve long-lasting mental wellness and inspiration, the 25-year-old singer voluntarily checked into a health facility located in New York earlier in January.

The Monte Carlo actress received treatment for anxiety and depression, according to a report from US Weekly.

“It’s about physical, mental wellness and clean eating,” the news outlet quotes a source as saying.

“Selina was there for about two weeks but she was also in the city doing work. She feels great.”

The tipster added that Sel doesn’t want to experience a relapse so there’s need to be proactive. And the idea worked as expected.

“So much has happened in her life within the past few months,” the source explained. “She wanted to get a clear mind and thought, and there’s no better way to do it.”

“Selina enjoyed the whole process. She loved it and will be back for more later in the year.”

During her stay at the health facility, she was glued to her phone and had support from off-and-on boyfriend Justin Bieber. However, the Canadian singer was not blame for the hospitalization.

“He (Justin) knew about it and was supportive, but the trip had nothing to do with him…It was all her decision,” the source added. “She feels great and is working hard on her upcoming album release.”
