Ronaldo: ‘I Knew I would Score.’

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he ‘knew he’d score’ a few minutes before taking the last penalty that won Real Madrid their Champions League trophy on May 28.

That’s confidence at work though nothing less would have been acceptable from one of the best players in the world.

The Portuguese superstar said he was 110% sure he’d beat Jan Oblak.

CR7 spoke with AS in a post-match interview:

“I feel joy. We share this Champions League with the fans. I haven’t seen my family but obviously this is for them, for the players, for everyone. Many thanks to the fans.

“I had a vision. I knew I was going to score the winning goal. I asked Zinedine Zidane to let me take the fifth penalty because I was going to score the winning goal.

“Zidane has done a phenomenal job. He deserves it, he has humility and I’m happy for him. Balon d’Or? Winning the Champions League was first and to be the top scorer. It’s the seventh year I’ve scored more than 50 goals, for the first time in history.”

  1. I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any
interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the net will be much more useful than ever before.
