Ahead of Kim Porter’s burial, rap icon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has appreciated his numerous fans and well-wishers for their unrelenting support.

Puff Daddy, as the famous rapper is also known, took to social media and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the understanding and sympathy from supporters since his ex-lover died.

Kim’s death was announced on 15 November.

“Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER!!! We thank you all for your prayers and support. You have no idea how much it means to us. We thank GOD for all of you. #KimPorter (sic),” the Bad Boy Records owner wrote.

Combs, 49, admits he has been terrified since his ex-girlfriend died. The hip-hop icon has three kids with Kim: Christian (20 years old) and 11-year-old twins named Jessie and D’Lila. The deceased was a model.

Kim dated Combs in an off-and-on relationship for 13 years. The New York-born rapper recently paid tribute to her in a heartfelt message posted on her Instagram account alongside a video of himself cradling then-pregnant Kim.

“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” Puff Daddy wrote. “But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S**T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love [love heart emoji] (sic)”

Media reports confirm Kim was found dead at her home in Los Angeles. She suffered “flu-like” symptoms in the weeks before her passing. Police said there was “no foul play” surrounding her death.
