Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, Angel Di Maria, has said his relationship with the Spanish champions ended after he left the club, and stressed he would accept an offer to play for Barcelona in the future.
The Rosario-born star insists it wouldn’t be a problem playing at Camp Nou, alongside his compatriot Lionel Messi.

Speaking in an interview with So Foot, the Argentine professional footballer started with a question about the atmosphere in PSG’s dressing room ahead of their upcoming Champions League encounter with Real Madrid.
“We are at peace. We get along with each other very well,” Angel Di Maria said.
“We understand how important it is at this time to remain united in the dressing room – it’s the only thing we need to achieve important things. In addition, we know that we have big objectives and we have to capacity to achieve those.”
The swift-footed winger and attacker described PSG coach Unai Emery as a “very intense manager” who often prepares his players for games with the intention of winning every match.
“He [Unai] does his best and leaves us to take the initiative on the field,” Di Maria said.
The 29-year-old player avoided questions about Neymar’s rift with the club’s highest goal scorer, Edison Cavani.
“I wouldn’t want to make comments on such a sensitive matter. It doesn’t make sense,” he said, but emphasized that Neymar has been well received in Paris, simply because he is one of the best players in the world.
On his relationship with Madrid, Di Maria said “it is finished.”
“My relationship with Los Blancos ended the day our contract was trashed. Honestly, it won’t be a problem for me to play at Camp Nou,” he explained.
The 2014 World Cup finalists also revealed he couldn’t play for Newell’s Old Boys because he’s a fan of Rosario Central, but says the circumstance is different between Barcelona and Madrid.
Having played alongside one of the best trios in football history – Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar – he said it’s be a futile effort trying to cast a vote on who is the best.
“In my opinion, they are three great players and it’s a privilege to have them in one side or another,” Di Maria said.
“A small amount of players have the luck to have played with the three best footballers in the world, so I count myself blessed. With these memorable experiences, there’s no doubt that when I grow old, I’ll look back on that with a lot of nostalgia.”
