OPPO F5 launced in the Philippines with AI-powered Camera and more

Popular Chinese mobile phones company Oppo on Thursday launched its latest selfie-focused smartphone, the Oppo F5.

The newest model is Oppo’s successor to its previous F3 model, and we’re awed with the latest upgrade: a beautiful artificial intelligence (AI) technology affixed in the front camera.

Oppo F5 looks very much like its predecessors which focused on selfies, but it does take it to a higher level. It boasts of an all-screen front with slim bezels around the display.

The smartphone will be unveiled in India on November 2.

The company says, “With more than 200 positioning spots, the F5 accentuates your facial landmarks and contours to enhance the symmetry between features like your eyes, nose, cheekbones and jawline to create the perfectly refined and natural selfie. Its beauty-iris tool ensures that your eyes will shine brighter in any photo.”

The front camera is claimed to recognize if there’s a background light or can add luminescence to portraits for improved selfies. The front camera is also capable of clicking shots with a Bokeh effect.

GSM Arena confirmed last September that Oppo’s campaign poster in the Philippines does not reveal much about the design, except a slogan which read, “Capture the real you.”
