Nicole Kidman’s secret to a successful life and acting career looks quite simple but not exactly what you might be guessing.

The Australian-American movie star reveals it’s her “bold and open approach” to life.
Nicole, 49, says she loves taking life the same way she did 28 years ago when she started her acting career in Hollywood. Setting priorities means a lot to the “Eyes Wide Shut” actress but taking life “easy” is the idea.
The actress-singer was sighted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival where she spoke with reporters at a press conference.
Talking about her career, marriage and life challenges, she said: “I’m at that place in my life where I try to act as though I’m 21 and starting my career.
“At this stage in my life, I’m trying to stay bold and open and try things and support filmmakers that I believe in.”
The producer wedded famous actor Tom Cruise in 1990 although their marriage crashed in 2001. They share two kids Isabella, 24, and Connor, 22.
Although the multi-award winner has two kids, Sunday (8) and Faith (6), with her current hubby Keith Urban, she admits to rejecting career opportunities for her family.
“My time is precious,” said the actress who has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador since 2004. “I think once you reach a certain age the time becomes incredibly important – you’re like [gasp]. I’m raising a six and an eight year old who are in school so there’s only a certain amount of time I can work because of their school year.

“That means I pass on things a lot … because ultimately – and this is just me – my family life is the most important thing to me so I’m not going to jeopardize that in any way shape or form.”
Talking about Urban, who she wedded in 2006, Nicole says she’s very lucky to have the country music icon in her life.
The Blossom Films owner explained: “Keith and I always say that we are just so lucky to have each other.

“In this world, to be able to come back to that love and that strength is so nourishing and powerful.
“And I am coming up an 11-year wedding anniversary, 12 years together, and that’s a big thing. And that is through absolute commitment and kindness, the desire to protect and help each other, what our relationship is.”
