The police is making efforts to crack the murder case of a New Orleans couple – Dawn Ellen Scott, 28, and her boyfriend, Raynell Kimbrough, 31. Both were shot multiple times while sleeping on their bed with their new born baby in the middle.
Scott’s other two kids were in another room at the time of the incident in Tenner on Monday, reports say.
Around 7am, the 10-year-old son heard the gunshots and rushed to the bedroom only to find the couple murdered in cold blood, he then ran to inform their neighbor who called in the police to the murder scene.
Investigations into the double homicide has already started. Meanwhile, Child Protective Services has taken custody of the three kids.
Police investigators say the motive behind the killings is yet unclear.
Ellen Scott’s Facebook page shows she has been in a relationship with Kimbrough since the past year. She was an overnight associate at Wal Mart while the young man worked at a warehouse.
Both families are still in a great shock over the deaths.
