Manny Pacquiao gives his take on Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor’s long-awaited fight against Floyd Mayweather will go live on 26 August, and different opinions from experienced sports analysts, including professional boxer Manny Pacquiao, say the world may be in for a shocker.

McGregor has been busy boosting his market value in recent weeks; even sending a couple of daunting social media messages to his opponent ahead of the mega fight.

The 28-year-old Irishman who is UFC’s reigning lightweight champion will square up against Maymoney, a 40-year-old American professional boxer, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor has no boxing experience to his name despite being a martial arts icon. Yet, his proposed $1 billion-dollar fight has been the most discussed fight in history. It’ll also be an unpreceded money-spinner for both fighters and their sponsors.

UFC owners [WME-IMG] have reportedly asked for a whooping $10 million as price tag on the rights to sponsor the August 26 boxing event.

A report from Darren Rovell of ESPN.com confirmed that “the $10 million would nearly double boxing’s largest single-fight sponsorship, the $5.6 million that Tecate paid for Mayweather-Pacquiao in May 2015.”

“The sponsoring company would get its logo at the center of the ring at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, its branding on ring girls, on two of the ropes and in the two nonfighter corners of the ring,” Rovell added.

“The deal also includes sponsorship of the first minute of every round on the broadcast and $500,000 in tickets.”

The odds are clearly against McGregor’s chances of coming out victorious in the match, but the kick-boxer says he’s coming with a shocker.

“Ghosty gonna getcha,” he wrote in his latest Instagram.

“I am about to SHOCK THE WORLD! Again.”

Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao, who lost to Mayweather in 2015 says McGregor is living in a dreamworld, if he thinks the fight will end in his favor.

“McGregor has no chance in this fight. In fact, it could be very boring,” ‘Pacman’ said in response to a question about the expected result.

“There is no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch on Floyd. How could he? He has no professional experience in boxing. Floyd is a gifted fighter with great defense. His footwork and reflexes are excellent.”

    1. “Taste and see that Mayweather is the best,” he should have said in a simpler form, from experience. Lol
