Man Utd Star Anthony Martial Loses His Iconic No. 9 To Ibrahimovic, And War Just Started.

Anthony Martial has reportedly stopped following Manchester United on social media–in an expected reaction–after the club disrespectfully gave out his iconic No. 9 to legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic who just signed for the club.

As the Red Devils prepare for 2016/2017 season, some eagle-eyed sports writers who have been following the player on Twitter, Instagram and FaceBook were quick to notice Martial posted this picture.

The 20-year-old France international footballer posted an image that shows Wembley stadium in black and white, with him wearing Manchester United’s home kit. Of course, he had his former shirt number on it.

Most fans and football lovers believe his action was a sign of distaste for his coveted jersey number which has been forcefully taken away for the pleasure of Ibrahimovic.

There are rumors that Anthony Martial’s jersey number was given to the Swede star without prior consultation–a sign of disrespect which would provoke even a perfect gentleman.

Martial is currently on his summer vacation in Greece, and all Mou could do with Ibra is kick the Frenchman from behind.

This insult is really bad for Martial’s prestige in the football world, and he has quickly taken a swipe at Manchester United by launching a brand with the number am9.

Reports say the Frenchman was issued a No. 11 but will he fight hard for the single number 9, in the way of Cristiano Ronaldo’s CR7? Martial wore the number 11 while playing for France at Euro 2016 but opted to use No. 9 as his official number and brand–maybe Manchester United are telling him that he has no legal claims on which number the club gives or takes.

Martial has worked hard for his business image with the No. 9, having used am9 on his website. The striker even has ‘am9’ embroiled on his own Nike boots.

Following this heart-breaking incident, rumors are rife that the 20-year-old player will have no other option than to leave Old Trafford, unless Ibrahimovic humbles himself by squashing his obsession for 9.

Staying with the Red Devils with a switched shirt number will be catastrophic for Martial’s business brand–Mourinho and Manchester United should have known.
