Madonna’s 16-year-old son Arrested in the U.K. for Drugs

Madonna's son Rocco Ritchie has been arrested for cannabis possession near his home in Primrose Hill in North London.

Madonna’s 16-year-old son was arrested in the United Kingdom for cannabis possession. Rocco Ritchie seem to have gone over the edge since he relocated to London after the prolonged custody battle between his parents.

Early this year, Rocco deserted his mom and chose to live in the U.K. with Guy Ritchie, his estranged dad.

The young man refused to travel with his 58-year-old mom who was on the last phase of her world tour. Madonna followed up with a lawsuit in the U.S. and U.K. demanding his return.

Guy and Madonna had their legal battle settled in September after the court approved Rocco’s decision to stay with his 48-year-old father.

“It’s been a very difficult time for him,” she said in court. “We hope to put an end to this as soon as possible without exposing him to more litigation, press innuendo, any of that kind of thing.”

The U.K. authorities were reportedly acting on a tip-off from some disgruntled wealthy neighbors at Primrose Hill said the boy was “smoking or doing drugs”. He was arrested on 28 September, reports confirm.

Rocco was busted in North London while sitting on a wall with a male friend doing something suspicious.

However, the report says he was seen “tossing something away” as police arrived the scene. But after a search, the officers confirmed Madonna’s son had a small quantity of weed in his bag as well as some traces on his clothing.

“Rocco has become a well-known figure in the neighbourhood, and not for the right reasons. He’s been repeatedly seen acting suspiciously.

“This incident was the final straw. Local residents are fed up with him acting in this manner and called the police,” the source reveals.

Rocco was lucky to have escaped serving time in jail. Police report says he will not get a criminal record to his name, but the offense will be noted.

The 16-year-old was required to get help from Camden Borough’s Youth Offending Team.
