The world’s best footballer, Lionel Messi didn’t train with his Barcelona teammates on Thursday, possibly due to an ankle injury he is nursing.
According to AS, Messi took a kick to the area as Barca hammered Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday.
The Argentine was present at the club during Barca’s unveiling of the plans for a redeveloped Camp Nou but it’s not believed Messi will miss Barca’s next game, at Camp Nou against strugglers Sporting Gijon.
Messi played the full 90 minutes and scored at Riazor, with Sport suggesting his absence from training may have been only a precaution.
