Kanye West’s mental condition shows madness is real – Wendy Williams

After months of drama surrounding Kanye West’s mental illness, music and marriage, the rap icon made headlines with his recent statement that “slavery is a choice,” a perspective which angered or rather stirred pity in famous American TV host and actress, Wendy Joan Williams-Hunter.

Wendy Williams, as she is popularly known, called out Kanye saying the “Graduation” rapper is not well, adding that she feels very bad for him as a result of the bizarre opinion on slavery.

The 53 year-old author, fashion designer and former radio personality who has hosted the “Wendy Williams Show” since 2008 spoke at a Vulture Festival Las Culturistas organised by the New York Magazine and hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.

Wendy was asked about Kanye’s recent rants on Twitter and his profession of love for the U.S. President, Donald Trump.

Her reaction: ‘Mental illness is something that’s so real. As long as I’m here and you’re listening, I will tell you I feel very, very bad for Kanye West. His father is nowhere in the picture, his mom passed away trying to beautify herself to be a stage mom.’

The New York Times bestselling-author continued, I’m not going to talk about his wife, his family, or anything like that. But what I will tell you is that he’s not well.

‘That is the very foundation of everything he says. He’s not well. I wish him well.’

Wendy also talked about Kanye’s 2016 health emergency, when he was hospitalized for addiction to opioid.

‘The war on drugs is very, very real, and the war on helping people with mental illness is very, very real,’ the New Jersey-born TV host.

Kanye attracted criticisms for saying on TMZ Live, ” When you hear about slavery for 400 years … for 400 years?! That sounds like a choice.”

Kim Kardashian was in Wyoming, far from New York’s glamour, to spend quality time with her hubby who has been working hard on reviving his dwindling music career.

According to People magazine, Kimmy feels very happy for the rapper, considering the energy he has invested on his upcoming album for over three weeks.

A source close to the 40-year-old rapper said, Kanye will be in Jackson Hole for several more weeks…Kim will travel back and forth to see him. She’s happy he’s focused on his music instead of going on social media rants.”

“Kanye seems great,” the source adds. “He loves Jackson Hole. He thinks it’s the perfect place to create his music.”

Kim, 37, admitted: “He’s doing really good…He’s in Wyoming recording, he has a couple of albums coming out so he’s just focused on that.”

She continued with a laugh, “I will say, he gave me my first grey hair this week, and I am blaming that on him.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star doesn’t support everything Kanye does, but has kept her love for him glowing against all odds because they share a family, a tipster added. “She’s very forgiving towards him, especially since he is the father of her children…He’s been through low points before and she knows people make mistakes.”

“The reason why I brought up the 400 years point is because we can’t be mentally imprisoned for another 400 years. We need free thought now. Even the statement was an example of free thought…It was just an idea,” Kanye has since explained to those who misunderstood his free-thinking nature.

Famous basketball icon Kobe Bryant told a group of Los Angeles high school students at the “We Rise LA” event that he was shocked after the news surfaced on social media, adding that he’s in total disagreement with Kanye’s thoughts but admits people have the right to air their opinions.

His words, “The thing about our country is that you have the right to say whatever it is that you want to say – that’s the beautiful part about living in a democratic society…”
