Kanye West, Kim Kardashian And Taylor Swift In Lyrical War

Kim Kardashian who recently appeared on the cover page of GQ magazine’s July issue, is currently involved in a rift between hubby Kanye West and long-time frienemy Taylor Swift.

GQ dedicated its 10th Love, Sex & Madness issue to Internet-breaker Kim Kardashian.

It’ll be recalled that way back in 2009, Swift received what might have been her worst embarrassment on stage as a celebrity, from Kanye. He simply stole the 26-year-old’s shine as she mounted the podium for her acceptance speech after winning the Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Kanye interrupted by saying: “Im’ma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!”

That incident has remained part of Kanye and Swift’s image in the music industry as frienemies. It’s rather unfortunate that the rapper has suffered demeaning criticisms afterwards, with references made to him as a psycho – somehow well deserved, one might say.

Bringing the hate between these two musicians forward to 2016, there’s no doubt that Swift doesn’t have love from the rapper yet – not even from wifey Kim. Though both camps seem to be cool in the aftermath of Kanye’s stage rant, the celebrities are fighting a ‘cold war’ as Kanye has confirmed.

A track from Kanye’s most recent album The Life of Pablo once again dissed Taylor Swift. Lyrics from the infamous “Famous” says: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous,” he spits.

The words clearly show there’s bad blood between the two celebrities even  as Swift’s rep says the singer wasn’t pleased with that. But Kim Kardashian is back on the limelight with her opinion on the events. Here’s what the reality TV star said:

“She totally approved that,” Kim says, shaking her head in annoyance.

“She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

Kim may be asking, somehow, for the benefit of doubt on behalf of her husband who apparently dosn’t give a damn about what Swift or anyone thinks. What does it matter at this point?

The questions is, “What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval?”

A representative for Swift issued the following statement upon the release of West’s album back in February:

Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single “Famous” on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, “I made that b—- famous.”

Kim Kardashian is fighting hard on the side of her husband just as every woman is expected. In her words:

“Swift totally gave the okay. Rick Rubin was there. So many respected people in the music business heard that [conversation] and knew.

I mean, he’s called me a bitch in his songs. That’s just, like, what they say. I never once think, [gasping] ‘What a derogatory word! How dare he?’ Not in a million years. I don’t know why she just, you know, flipped all of a sudden.…

“It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ 

And I’m like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.”

Kim also alleges that an attorney from Team Swift sent a letter warning not to release footage that was allegedly recorded during Taylor and Kanye’s phone call, where the former was said to have approved the “Famous” line. However, Swift’s rep returned with a lengthy statement in response.

“Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West. However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect.

“Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place. It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do. Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term ‘that bitch’ in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift.

“Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian’s claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.”

 

It is believed that this is just the beginning of the many troubles that’ll surface between Kanye, Kim and Swift in the future.
