Jose Mourinho unsure of job at Manchester United

Mourinho has been linked with the Manchester United job but says he does not know where he will work next.

Famous tactician, Jose Mourinho says he does not know where he will be working in the summer but would like to return to the English Premier League.

The Portuguese, sacked by Chelsea in December, has been strongly linked with the Manchester United job as the club continues to struggle under Louis Van Gaal.

Last weekend, while in Italy to watch his former team Inter Milan, Mourinho’s former director at the club Bedy Moratti let slip that the 53-year-old was “moving to Manchester.”

Those claims would appear to be premature. Speaking in Singapore at a school scholarship event, Mourinho remained coy on the prospect of returning to England.
“That’s the one million dollar question,” Mourinho said when asked whether he would replace Van Gaal. “Nobody knows and I am the first one not to know. I read so many different things.”

Van Gaal has a three-year contract that runs up until the end of the 2016-17 season, but United’s hierarchy is under pressure from supporters and sponsors to arrest a decline that could see the club miss out on the UEFA Champions League for the second time in three seasons.

Manchester United is playing against FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday needing to turn around a 2-1 deficit from the first leg last week in Herning, Denmark.
