Famous musician Jennifer Lopez has confirmed her engagement to baseball icon Alex Rodriguez.
JLo and Alex took the bold step after two years of dating. The two celebs, who have always documented their private lives and relationship achievements on social media, never lacked admiration and support from their numerous fans and well-wishers.
On Saturday night, JLo and Alex shared news of their “binding agreement” on Instagram.
“She said yes,” Alex captioned his post in the picture-sharing website, also flaunting an image of him holding his fiancée’s hand. The sparkling diamond-crusted ring stayed conspicuous.
The Boy Next Door actress later shared her beau’s post with a simpler message—eight heart emojis.

On 4 February, Alex and JLo celebrated their 2-year anniversary. At that time, A-Rod (as he is popularly known during his days as a Seattle Mariner, New York Yankee and Texas Ranger) shared an emotional message:
“Only 730 days, which have flown by, but it feels like we have been together forever. We are meant to be, and how much you mean to me cannot be put into words.”
Coincidentally, Alex’s engagement to JLo comes barely 24 hours after the baseball star shared a heartfelt message for former flames—believed to have gained inspiration from years of experience. His Instagram Story about soulmates, however, was more explanatory than apologetic in nature.
“A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you,” the message read.
“No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be,” he added.
According to PEOPLE, Alex met Lopez at Shea Stadium in Queens. She had stopped to shake the baseball player’s hand before the first pitch. He retired with the Yankees in 2016 and has since focused on Jenny from the Block.
